Leaya (Hongya Liu) born in China(1995), based in Melbourne and Chengdu.

Her heart beats for capturing the captivating tales and intriguing thoughts, she encounters through the lens of her camera, all thanks to her deep passion for documentary photography.

​

In the year 2020, Leaya proudly earned her Master of Photography degree from RMIT University. Throughout her academic journey, she delved into the art of blending staged and self-portrait photography, all in an effort to challenge some of the age-old moral values that have shaped our world.

​

Leaya's creative work revolves around thought-provoking themes, covering the rich tapestry of culture, the pages of history, the delicate realm of mental health, the journey of self-discovery, and the ever-present social expectations that surround us.
